Africa Tech Summit Nairobi announced ten ventures for investment showcase

Africa’s Tech Summit Ten African tech companies have been chosen by Nairobi to present their creative solutions at the event, which will take place from February 12–13, in hopes of gaining funding and collaborations.

Africa Tech Summit Nairobi, presented by Raenest, will be held at the Sarit Expo Centre and will include awards, an exhibition, and a business-to-business summit. The Africa Money & DeFi Summit, Africa Startup Summit, Africa Climate Tech & Investment Summit, and the Africa Mobile & App Summit are the four main track themes that will be covered.

The event’s investment showcase received more than 200 submissions from 24 countries; 10 ventures representing industries like fintech, insurtech, e-health, agri-tech, and cleantech were chosen.

Three of those businesses are Nigerian: Pricepally, an e-commerce startup that addresses inefficiencies in the food distribution system; Heala Tech, a digital health platform that expedites healthcare delivery in Africa; and Dojah, an anti-fraud infrastructure platform that helps businesses to identify, stop, and manage fraudulent activities in real-time.

Three more come from Kenya: MaishaPoa, an insurtech startup that offers accessible and reasonably priced micro-insurance solutions; OnSpace Technologies, a no-code platform that tackles a significant issue faced by agricultural SMEs and associated industries: the absence of reasonably priced, easily accessible, and flexible business systems; and Duhqa, a B2B platform that links retailers with manufacturers and suppliers.

Additional choices include Rwanda’s JaliKoi, which offers a streamlined method for low- and middle-income earners to obtain financial services; Tanzania’s Bizy Tech, which has created a digital agricultural platform; Uganda’s Flow Global, which finances MSMEs in developing nations; and Koolboks (France, Nigeria, and Kenya), which offers pay-as-you-go (PAYG) solar-powered refrigeration solutions to underprivileged communities and SMEs.

“We are delighted to welcome these ventures to the seventh edition of Africa Tech Summit Nairobi,” said Andrew Fassnidge, director of Africa Tech Summit. “The ATS Investment Showcase continues to showcase and connect investment ready tech ventures, with leading VCs and support them in a challenging funding environment.”
