InfoEdge Ventures led $1 M funding raised by fashion search engine platform Shoppin

In a funding round headed by InfoEdge Ventures, the fashion search engine platform Shoppin has raised $1 million.
According to a press release from Shoppin, the money raised will be used to hire staff, develop proprietary technology, and spur expansion.
Shoppin, which was started by Shlok Bhartiya, lets users find clothing items by using prompts, images, product descriptions, and vibes. It seeks to close the gap between e-commerce discovery on marketplaces and D2C brand websites and inspiration discovery on social media platforms.
In order to create, optimize, and scale sophisticated AI models—including specially designed small language models (SLMs) for the fashion industry—the company intends to assemble a group of AI engineers.
With plans to launch its beta search engine in February, Shoppin currently claims to have over 20,000 people on its waitlist and over 35,000 Instagram followers.
InfoEdge made investments in Culture Circle and ZingBus last month.
