PlaySuper raised $500K Seed funding from IAN Group and 100X.VC

PlaySuper, a gaming commerce startup, raised $500K in its seed round, which was led by 100X.VC and IAN Angel Fund. Angel investors such as Rajit Bhattacharya, Pratham Mittal, Ankit Das, KRS Jamwal, and Uday Sodhi also participated in the round.

The money raised will be utilized to improve hiring practices, broaden market reach, and speed up product development. PlaySuper’s next-generation, highly customized in-game store will be available soon, enabling seamless integration without the need for updates.

Within six months, the Gurugran-based company also intends to enter Southeast Asia (SEA), MENA, and LATAM. In order to onboard more game studios, it will also increase the size of its B2B partnerships team and hire a Product Head.

PlaySuper, which was founded in April 2024 by Shouradeep Chakraborty, Abhir Das, and Upamanyu Chatterjee, allows players to shop within their preferred mobile games while they’re having fun. It incorporates actual retail experiences into mobile games.

An edtech platform called LectureNotes, which Shouradeep and Upamanyu co-founded, raised $2.5 million in 2022. They have vast experience in the edtech, Web3, and gaming industries.

The company’s goals for the upcoming year are to expand into new markets, strengthen its partnerships with game developers, and launch its in-game store.
