Nutraceutical ingredient manufacturer Zeus Hygia raises $2.5 M from NABVENTURES

The research-driven nutraceutical ingredient manufacturer Zeus Hygia has raised $2.5 million from NABVENTURES, NABARD’s venture capital division, as part of its Series A funding round.
Expanding worldwide operations, bolstering research and development, and creating first-in-market solutions centered on pain management, weight control, women’s health, and healthy aging are the goals of the funding.
Established in 2018, Zeus Hygia creates clinically validated, patented herbal extracts for OTC, pharmaceutical, and nutraceutical brands. The company uses a business-to-business (B2B) model and provides powerful, plant-based active ingredients to wellness-oriented companies in more than 15 nations.
Eight proprietary branded ingredients, including BioSOLVE Curcumin, Grantria, and Stadice, are part of its product line; more SKUs are being developed.
Delivering natural, safe, and effective products, the Hyderabad-based startup has over 20 scientific publications, nine patents, and five proprietary platform technologies. Through strategic partnerships and cooperative development initiatives, it is also growing its presence in Southeast Asia and MENA and extending its reach in North America with a U.S. unit.
Over the next three years, Zeus Hygia anticipates that 70% of its revenue will come from overseas markets.
