OTP Ventures led Pre-seed funding raised by fragrance brand FIFTH SENSE

In a pre-seed funding round headed by OTP Ventures, fragrance brand FIFTH SENSE raised Rs 6.3 crore. Sadev Ventures, ISV Capital, and important angel investors, such as Swiggy CEO Rohit Kapoor and StayVista co-founder Amit Damani, also participated.

According to a press release from FIFTH SENSE, the proceeds will be used to strengthen its supply chain and distribution capabilities, expand its product line, and build a content-driven brand.

Bharat and Prateek Gupta launched FIFTH SENSE, a high-end direct-to-consumer fragrance brand, this year with the goal of upending the Indian fragrance market by providing emotion-driven and climate-calibrated scents. Four debut fragrances have marked the official launch of the brand.

The Boyfriend Shirt, The Chosen One, Still Here, and The Athlete In You are the four scents in the Gurugram-based brand’s debut collection. Using ingredients sourced from around the world, the brand has collaborated with independent perfumers to create formulas with over 25% oil concentration that are still effective in Indian weather.

In the coming quarters, the company intends to establish a presence on e-commerce and quick commerce platforms in addition to selling its products through its own website.

It faces competition from other well-known companies in this market, including Titan Skinn, Contraband, Secret Alchemist, and Fraganote.
