Fabric development-textile manufacturing startup STCH raises $5.5 M Pre-series A funding from Omnivore

With participation from Kae Capital and WVC, STCH, an AI startup that focuses on fabric development and textile manufacturing, has raised $5.5 million in a pre-Series A round led by Omnivore.

The money raised will be used to develop a fabric R&D lab, strengthen manufacturing alliances, increase AI capabilities, and scale delivery throughout important markets.

STCH, a contract development and manufacturing (CDMO) platform for fashion companies, was established in 2025 by former Zetwerk executives Narahari Payala and Aseem Chitkara. Instead of consumer-facing AI use cases, it concentrates on fabric innovation and sourcing.

After identifying fabric specifications like texture, weight, and finish through the analysis of product photos and descriptions, its platform assists local manufacturing partners in producing comparable materials.

STCH primarily works with brands in the UK and Europe and asserts that it can take a fabric from concept to production in about 45 days. Manufacturing is done at partner factories in Bangladesh and India.

Fundamentum led a $15 million Series A funding round for Whizzo, a materials science-based manufacturing startup founded by former Zetwerk executive Shrestha Kukreja, earlier this year.
