Gourmet retail startup Foodstories raised Rs 50 Cr from Nikhil Kamath

With involvement from current investor Narotam Sekhsaria Family Office, gourmet retail startup Foodstories has raised Rs 50 crore in a fundraising round led by Nikhil Kamath, a co-founder of Zerodha.
According to a news release from Foodstories, the new funds will be utilized to assist the expansion of its retail footprint, bolster delivery networks, and increase its digital company.
Foodstories is a high-end gourmet food and lifestyle business that operates immersive physical locations and a digital delivery network throughout Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Mumbai. It was co-founded in 2021 by Avni and Ashni Biyani, daughters of Future Group founder Kishore Biyani. In-store wellness cafés, international ingredients, and organic vegetables are all offered by the brand.
The company claims that by combining digital commerce, hospitality, and experiential retail under one roof, Foodstories allows producers to reach a larger audience while giving consumers access to carefully chosen products.
Additionally, Ashni and Avni Biyani co-founded Think9, a platform for brand co-creation.
Foodstories has opened a flagship store in Bandra, Mumbai, in addition to its current locations in Delhi, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad. It intends to open a second location in Lokhandwala.
The business combines a robust digital foundation with physical retail. Customers can place purchases via phone calls, WhatsApp, and the Foodstories e-commerce platform, allowing for local fulfillment and smooth omnichannel delivery.
