India Quotient led $3 M Seed funding raised by same-day delivery platform Blitz
Blitz, a same-day delivery platform for omnichannel sellers, has raised $3 million in its seed round from India Quotient, Better Capital, First Cheque, and Titan Capital. It was formerly known as Grow Simplee. There were additional angels who took part in the round, including Farid Ahsan, Abhinav Jain, Rahul Dash, Kunal Shah, Prabhkirandeep Singh, and Ishendra Agarwal.
The money will be put to better use, the company said in a press release, to expand the network of dark stores and upgrade technology infrastructure.
Gaurav Piyush, Yash Sharma, and Mayank Varshney founded Blitz two years ago to give sellers faster delivery options at reasonable prices. For all orders placed before 3 PM, same-day delivery is available.
In Blitz’s dark stores, vendors can anticipate demand, keep inventory close to their customers, provide buyers with 4-hour delivery, and complete all orders on the same day.
India Quotient was founded in 2012 by Anand Lunia and Madhukar Sinha. Its first fund had a corpus of $6 million, while the following two had $20 million and $60 million, respectively. WebEngage, Dhiwise, Vyapar, Pagarbook, Fleetx, Powerplay, Brands.live, and GoComet are just a few of the companies in its portfolio.
