Kenyan e-health startup MYDAWA raised undisclosed funding for expansion

MYDAWA, a Kenyan e-health startup, has raised an undisclosed sum of money to further its goal of increasing access to healthcare.
MYDAWA is a technology-driven digital health company that was founded in 2017 and provides comprehensive healthcare solutions in Kenya and Uganda. Its integrated platform provides e-prescriptions, lab testing, chronic care management, online doctor consultations, and drug delivery.
IFU, Alta Semper, AAIC Investment, Creadev, and Ohara Pharmaceutical Co. are participating in the funding round, which will help MYDAWA expand its “Bricks-and-Clicks Super Pharmacy” model into new markets, improve chronic-disease support programs for patients in need of consistent, reasonably priced care, and incorporate AI-driven features to optimize inventory management, streamline service delivery, and ultimately lower patient costs.
“The calibre of investors joining this round speaks for itself,” said Neil O’Leary, MYDAWA’s founder. “It confirms that MYDAWA is not just solving real problems at scale – it’s building a blueprint for the future of healthcare in Africa. We’re honoured to have partners who share our vision and will help us accelerate our mission.”
“As MYDAWA’s long-term partner, we’ve witnessed firsthand the company’s ability to deliver transformative healthcare solutions at scale,” said Zach Fond, partner at Alta Semper. “We’re excited to see this next phase of growth, which reinforces MYDAWA’s position as a category leader and a blueprint for digital health innovation across Africa.”
