Negen Capital led $1.25 M Seed funding received by meme marketing startup WLDD
A $1.25 million seed round led by Negen Capital has been completed by the meme marketing company WLDD. The company also hopes to secure another $750K from reliable angel investors and creators in the nation.
The capital, which has been entirely bootstrapped up until now, will be used primarily to increase the startup’s growth and strengthen the company’s expanding influence, according to a press release from WLDD.
Through its snackable and entertaining communication models, WLDD, which was founded by Arihant Jain, Jaidev Kesti, and Vivekanand Kilari, has assisted numerous businesses in cutting through the noise.
WLDD has launched over 1,050 campaigns and introduced meme marketing to over 120 brands with relatable content. It also has a creator community of over 10,000 people.
“We understand that in the new world digital IPs are a natural extension of a business, having built multiple IPs over the last 5 years this is where the world is heading, we are at 8 million followers across our digital IPs and we plan to grow it to 80 million in the next 5 years,” said Kilari.
With some of the notable deals, Negen Capital has concentrated on companies that are profitable or break even, such as R for Rabbit, Blue Tokai, Burger Singh, Burma Burma, Khelgully, and Dwija Foods.
