Applications are now being accepted for the fifth iteration of Visa’s biannual Africa Fintech Accelerator, which gives businesses access to resources, industry contacts, and mentorship to help them scale their creative solutions. Visa is a global payment card network.
The Africa Fintech Accelerator, which was started in 2023 in accordance with Visa’s commitment to invest US$1 billion in financial inclusion in Africa by 2027, has accelerated dozens of startups across four cohorts to date, and there are currently nearly 20 active partnerships.
Visa recently invested in two ventures from the third program and provided strategic funding to four startups that participated in the first program in 2023.
The fifth iteration of the three-month program, which aims to offer funding opportunities, technology resources, and mentorship, is now open to startups.
Applications are open here until August 15.
