$15 M Series A funding secured by India’s Bhanzu

A series A fundraising headed by Eight Roads Ventures and including B Capital’s Ascent Fund secured $15 million for Bhanzu, an Indian edtech company that specializes in arithmetic instruction.

Bhanzu, a platform for math instruction for pupils between the ages of six and 16, was established in 2020. Neelakantha Bhanu, the company’s creator and the world’s fastest human calculator, personally selected the curriculum, according to a statement from the business.

The company obtained $2 million in venture investment from Lightspeed Venture Partners last year to expand its live virtual classes and quicken recruiting. At the moment, the firm employs more than 400 people.

The new cash will be used by Bhanzu for employment, product development, content creation, and worldwide growth. Additionally, it plans to create material in a variety of languages to meet demand from other Asian nations.
