$50 M Series A1 funding raised by GOAT Brand Labs

GOAT Brand Labs, an India-based direct-to-consumer brand aggregator, has received $50 million in series A1 investment. Winter Capital, 9Unicorns, and Venture Catalysts joined the round as well as the startup’s previous investors.

GOAT has purchased 15 direct-to-consumer companies in its first year of existence. The Label Life, Frangipani, Doggie Dabbas, trueBrowns, and Abhishti are among the digitally native lifestyle labels represented by the roll-up corporation.

In order to increase its portfolio by over 85 percent, GOAT claimed it had worked with the founders of the companies it has purchased. In addition, the corporation is in discussions to buy 12 other brands.

The aggregator also stated that it is profitable despite having the lowest overhead among rivals.

Rishi Vasudev, the former CEO of both Lifestyle and Calvin Klein, and Rameswar Misra, the founder of menswear brand Turms, founded GOAT in 2021.

Thrasio, GlobalBees, and Mensa Brands, for example, are all Indian roll-up companies that become unicorns within a few months of their start. In recent years, India’s roll-up e-commerce market has gotten significant financing as online shopping has grown in popularity as a result of the epidemic.
