To increase AI retail decision-making in 34 markets, Singapore’s ADA purchases Algonomy

The acquisition of Algonomy, an AI retail decision-making firm based in Bengaluru, India, by ADA, an AI company with headquarters in both Singapore and Malaysia, has increased the merged group’s footprint.

Without providing any financial information, ADA announced in a statement on Thursday that it would expand to 34 markets in Asia-Pacific, the US, the Middle East and North Africa, and Europe.

Building on the success of Manthan and RichRelevance, Algonomy provides AI-driven supply chain, merchandising, and personalization solutions to over 400 businesses worldwide. Clients of Algonomy continue to have complete access to its people and products after the acquisition, and the merged company uses the ADA name.

According to ADA, the acquisition offers AI decisioning capabilities that link its current data and analytics platform to real-time actions. According to ADA, it can let AI agents analyze prices, offers, products, and messaging and provide tailored responses across client touchpoints concurrently.

According to ADA CEO Srinivas Gattamneni, the acquisition advances the company’s goal of creating an AI-driven growth platform for all client touchpoints by adding deep AI capabilities in supply chain intelligence, merchandising, and personalization.

Algonomy’s CEO, Atul Jalan, stated that the company was established on the idea that quicker, better decisions would transform what brands could do for customers. The CEO continued, “At a time when AI decision-making is transitioning from advisory to autonomous action, the ADA acquisition offers a larger platform.”

At the moment, ADA employs 1,300 people to serve 1,500 customers in the retail, consumer packaged goods, financial services, and other industries.
