The Google Africa Applied AI Lab, which seeks to give researchers and AI entrepreneurs early access to Google AI models and technical help, is accepting applications.
The Google Africa Applied AI Lab, which is housed at the Accra AI Community Center (AICC) in Ghana, helps entrepreneurs from all over the continent who want to “build Africa’s first generation of AI-native unicorn startups” by applying cutting-edge AI research to real-world, uniquely African problems.
The project bridges the gap between top-notch foundational research and products that are ready for the market by acting as a zero-to-one commercialization platform. It directly connects African researchers and founders with Google specialists so they may work together to develop AI solutions.
The initiative will end in a demo day where companies will showcase their work to Google employes, investors, and partners. There, they will have the chance to get more cash and support.
Applications are open here until August 31, and the programme begins in mid-September.
