Info Edge led Rs 8.9 Cr Seed funding raised by industrial workforce platform Factrika

Industrial workforce platform Factrika has raised Rs 8.9 crore in a seed funding round led by Info Edge.
The Delhi-based startup plans to use the new capital to grow its team, upgrade its technology and extend its operations to additional industrial clusters across India, according to a company press release.
Founded in 2024 by Kshitij Puri and Gaurav Asthana, Factrika connects manufacturers with skilled and verified factory workers through its digital platform. The company says it can arrange worker deployment within two hours and maintains a show-up rate of more than 90%. Its customer base includes companies such as Lenskart, Asahi India Glass and Jubilant Foods.
Factrika estimates that Indian manufacturing facilities deal with a daily shortage of 20% to 25% in their workforce, with fragmented contractor-based staffing systems contributing to the problem. Its platform matches workers with manufacturers according to skills and availability. Workers can select and accept shifts digitally, while Factrika handles attendance, payments and maintains an online record of their work history.
The startup said it has registered more than 10,000 workers across over 20 skill categories. Deployment hours are also increasing by 50% to 70% every month, according to the company. Its client list includes Lenskart, Munjal Kiriu, Asahi India Glass, Jubilant Foods and Epack Durables. Factrika claims workers can boost their earnings by 20% to 30% as they acquire new skills and progress through different skill levels.
Factrika currently operates in industrial hubs including Bhiwadi, Manesar, Bawal, Noida and Bahadurgarh. The startup is targeting what it estimates to be a $23 billion opportunity in India’s manufacturing workforce market.
A number of platforms have emerged in the industrial workforce segment, using mobile-based recruitment, worker verification, digital matching and workforce management technology to help companies hire frontline workers.
WorkIndia raised Rs 97 crore in a Series B round led by Aavishkaar Capital in December last year, with BEENEXT also participating. The company said the funds would support technology upgrades, improve its job-matching capabilities and help it expand into regions with strong demand.
In November last year, Nia.one secured $2.4 million in seed funding from Elevar Equity. The company is developing a platform for gig and blue-collar workers and has plans to establish Niadel hubs along major employment corridors.
Other digital recruitment platforms, including Apna, are also active in the blue- and grey-collar hiring market.
