Lab-grown diamond jewellery brand ONYA raises Rs 12.5 Cr Pre-Series A funding

Lab-grown diamond jewellery startup ONYA has secured Rs 12.5 crore in a pre-Series A funding round led by Divisa Family Office. Existing investor Zeropearl VC has also increased its investment following the company’s earlier Rs 5.5 crore seed round.
The startup had previously raised funds from several prominent angel investors, including the founders of MyGate and UrbanVault, among others.
According to ONYA, the latest capital will be used to expand its retail presence, strengthen digital customer acquisition, improve online personalization, and increase investment in R&D focused on product design and manufacturing.
Founded in 2024 by Gaurav Choudhary and Himani Yadav, Bengaluru-based ONYA is a contemporary lab-grown diamond jewellery brand that combines art and technology to create timeless, functional and elegant jewellery.
The brand offers IGI-certified lab-grown diamonds set in BIS-hallmarked gold, with a focus on craftsmanship and customized designs. ONYA aims to offer greater brilliance at around 20% of the price of natural diamonds, along with a lifetime exchange and buyback promise.
The company has also developed its own patented ring setting, known as the ONYA Setting. Its flagship ONYA Signature Collection draws inspiration from Neoclassical architecture and is positioned as a distinctive offering in modern fine jewellery.
Since its launch, ONYA says it has established eight flagship stores across major high streets in Bengaluru, as well as locations at Amanora Gold Souk Mall in Pune and Road No. 36 in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. The company has also scaled to Rs 3.5 crore in monthly recurring revenue.
Going forward, ONYA plans to enter additional markets through a combination of company-owned outlets and franchise stores.
The startup operates in a competitive lab-grown diamond jewellery market alongside brands such as Aukera, Limelight, Jewel Box and Fiona.
Investor activity in the segment has also increased. Nine pure-play lab-grown diamond startups collectively raised $26.4 million in 2025, compared with $4.7 million in 2024.
Recent transactions include Aukera raising Rs 90 crore in debt funding in July this year, following a $15 million equity round led by Peak XV Partners. Limelight Lab Grown Diamonds raised Rs 275 crore in a strategic funding round to expand its manufacturing and retail operations, while GIVA, which operates the lab-grown diamond brand Heer, secured Rs 530 crore in a Series C round.
Other funded companies in the segment include Jewelbox, Lucira Jewellery, True Diamond and Fiona Diamonds.
