Peak XV launches 12th Surge cohort with 18 startups spanning AI, robotics, space, consumer, healthcare, music and fintech

Peak XV Partners has announced the 12th cohort of its seed-stage programme Surge, featuring 18 early-stage startups working across sectors including artificial intelligence, robotics, space, consumer, healthcare, music and fintech.
The latest cohort comprises Alma, August AI, Ditto, GameStock, hiloop, Hoola Health, Kello, Kindling, Puralink, Reinforce Labs, Riffle, Rosella, Tribe Money, ULOOK and Wingit, alongside three startups that are currently operating in stealth mode.
Among the selected companies, Alma is developing AI-native personal computing infrastructure, while August AI is focused on building AI-powered clinical intelligence for primary care. Ditto is developing an AI dating matchmaker within iMessage, and GameStock is creating a social and competitive layer for financial markets.
Hoola Health is working on a paediatric care platform, while Kello is developing a people intelligence engine. Kindling is building a storytelling platform designed for technology startups, while Reinforce Labs focuses on AI evaluation, red teaming and remediation for enterprises.
Puralink is developing autonomous robots designed for underground pipe infrastructure, while ULOOK is building RF-sensing satellites for spectrum intelligence. Riffle is creating a browser-based collaborative music platform, and Rosella is developing an AI-native commercial insurance brokerage.
Tribe Money is building an AI-powered personal finance platform, while Wingit is developing a beauty platform aimed at premium consumers.
The cohort also brings together founders with backgrounds at companies including Google, Airbnb, Microsoft Research, Sarvam AI and Reducto. Mona Gandhi, co-founder of Kello, was Airbnb’s first female engineer. Meanwhile, Reinforce Labs founder Anish Das Sarma previously served as a Director at Google, where he led AI and machine learning teams.
According to Peak XV, the latest Surge cohort highlights the growing role of AI as the underlying architecture for products. The programme also reflects a focus on startups reimagining established consumer experiences and applying technology to physical infrastructure.
Surge provides seed-stage startups with funding of up to $5 million, along with support in areas such as hiring, product development, engineering, go-to-market, marketing, communications, policy and international expansion.
Launched in 2019, Surge has backed more than 180 startups spanning over 18 nationalities. Peak XV said its top 10 portfolio companies collectively generate more than $1 billion in annual revenue.
