FT x Cardano Blockchain Challenge invites African startups

The FT x Cardano Blockchain Challenge is looking for businesses who are working on Cardano or interested in using the Cardano blockchain technology and ecosystem and will provide chosen businesses with access to a bootcamp and accelerator program.

The FT x Cardano Blockchain Challenge is a collaboration between Cardano’s Project Catalyst, a community and group of experiments focused on self-governance to grow the Cardano blockchain; Seedstars, a Swiss-based group with the mission to impact people’s lives in emerging markets through technology and entrepreneurship; and the Financial Times, one of the world’s leading business news organizations.

The purpose is to find and invest in high-growth firms throughout the world, as well as to help entrepreneurs that are developing or planning to develop blockchain solutions based on the Cardano public blockchain platform. Participants will be provided with the necessary tools and methods for gaining traction and scaling their blockchain solutions.

Fifty startups will be chosen for a three-day Bootcamp, after which 24 entrepreneurs will be picked for a follow-up acceleration program. The Seedstars International Investor Fund will fast-track a worldwide winner.

“Developments in the blockchain and Web3 space are something that our team is excitedly watching unfold. To take part in supporting all the possibilities and innovations that blockchain enables, our team is thrilled to launch the FT x Cardano Blockchain Challenge,” said Alisee de Tonnac, co-CEO and co-founder of Seedstars.
