Animoca Brands principal investor in gaming metaverse startup Untamed Planet

According to Forkast, Untamed Planet, a game company, has secured $24.3 million in a series A investment headed by Animoca Brands.

nWay, Animoca’s video game division, has also partnered with the studio.

Untamed Planet intends to develop metaverse games that immerse players in virtual worlds with untamed natural environments where they may acquire NFTs. In order to save energy, it will use Solana for its initial NFT series.

The game company also stated that half of the earnings will be donated to wildlife conservation organisations and projects.

A Lego version of the game was originally released on Roblox, attracting 30 million players. The proceeds from this game went to rangers in Congo who conserve eastern lowland gorillas, as well as funding the adoption of a black rhino baby in Kenya.

Untamed Planet has announced that its whitepaper will be released in June on its website.
