A community-driven Web3 gaming business called Planetarium Labs has raised $32 million from investors led by blockchain gaming giant Animoca Brands. WeMade, Samsung Next, and Krust Universe also participated in the series A raise.

Recently, Animoca Brands oversaw investment rounds for businesses including social commerce company Our Happy Company, game studio Untamed Planet, and content production service Gusto Collective. The unicorn with headquarters in Hong Kong is presently valued at $5.8 billion USD.

Located on the Libplanet blockchain, Planetarium Labs, a company based in South Korea, is creating a gaming environment that enables open-source content creation by the community and user participation in the game network.

Additionally, Planetarium Labs is collaborating with game developers in the Asia-Pacific area to provide a number of projects that are community-focused.

The money donated will go toward developing studios devoted to providing Web3 gaming experiences as well as the foundational technologies for community-driven gaming.

In order to spur growth, the business also intends to concentrate on enhancing the Libplanet environment for decentralized gaming and roll out many initiatives including an ecosystem fund and community assistance schemes.
