HR tech firm Darwinbox partners with Microsoft to ease employee experience

A partnership between HR tech startup Darwinbox and IT behemoth Microsoft has been launched with the goal of improving the employee experience via innovation in the workforce, payroll, and talent management.

Microsoft has also contributed to the stock of the Indian firm.

Darwinbox will also make use of Microsoft’s workflow platforms like Teams, Viva, and Active Directory to enhance its mobile-first platform and customise the employee experience.

Chaitanya Peddi, Jayant Paleti, and Rohit Chennamaneni launched Darwinbox in 2015. Over 700 businesses from 90 different countries are clients of the firm. Tokopedia, Kopi Kenangan, Starbucks, Domino’s Pizza, Sephora, Adidas, and Zara are just a few of its customers.

Microsoft contributed $4 million to Darwinbox’s series D financing in November 2022. The business raised an additional US $5 million from the State Bank of India earlier this month, increasing its total capital to US $115 million.
