Zomato to hire around 800 employees
Zomato’s CEO and founder, Deepinder Goyal, revealed that the company is seeking to hire around 800 people.
Chiefs of staff, generalists, product managers, growth managers, and software development engineers are all needed by the Indian corporation.
Zomato reportedly cut off less than 3% of its workers (or about 100 out of its 3,800 employees) in November.
Prior to the changes, the company had seen a considerable decline in the value of its shares as a result of investors’ one-year lock-in period coming to an end. As a result, Zomato supporters like Sequoia Capital India sold their shares.
The business was founded by Goyal in 2010 and went public in 2021. The company’s 10-minute meal delivery service, Zomato Instant, was most recently said to be closing down, according to recent rumours. According to insiders, the service has been losing money for the past year.
Zomato explained that it will be changing its identity and developing a new menu for the service.
