DCT Agency received unknown Pre-series A funding from Sinar Mas Group
Living Lab Ventures, a division of regional conglomerate Sinar Mas Group, has provided an unknown amount of pre-series A investment to DCT Agency, an Indonesia-based digital advertising company.
DCT Agency, established in 2021, links businesses and brands with influencers for marketing campaigns and live shopping events on TikTok. More than 500 online personas are presently connected to the startup’s network.
David Nugroho, a local serial entrepreneur, founded DCT Agency. The business intends to offer a software-as-a-service solution for brands and expand its services to several platforms outside TikTok.
Through its TikTok Shop service, ByteDance’s well-known short-video platform has forayed into e-commerce.
By releasing new features, providing incentives, and forming new collaborations with e-commerce enablers and logistics partners, TikTok Shop has aggressively expanded its presence in Southeast Asia.
Recent sources state that TikTok Shop’s gross merchandise volume in the area last year was US$4.4 billion.
