Solar cleantech platform Stride received $2 M Seed funding from Clime Capital, Touchstone Partners

Stride, a cutting-edge cleantech business operating in Vietnam, has received a joint investment from Clime Capital Management and Touchstone Partners, it was announced on Wednesday.

“Stride is excited to partner with Clime Capital and Touchstone Partners to support Vietnam’s low carbon transition,” Stride Chief Executive Officer Andrew Fairthorne said in a statement.

He claims that the investment enables Stride to expedite the distribution of its clean energy solutions to more homes and small businesses throughout Vietnam, lowering their energy costs and helping Vietnam reach its net zero goals.

By offering households and small businesses with eco-friendly home improvement projects, smart home technology, energy-efficient products, and access to solar energy, the company Stride hopes to hasten Vietnam’s low-carbon transition.

The company offers an affordable, transparent, and easy way to pay for eco-friendly home improvement projects and solar installations at the point of sale with 0% interest, assisting residential and small business consumers in taking the next step toward a clean energy future.

Stride has grown quickly over the past two years as the first business in Vietnam to provide low upfront cost financing, free insurance, independent quality assurance, and an efficient online customer onboarding process.

Residential and small-business consumers who want to switch to more affordable clean energy to lower energy costs are becoming more interested in Stride. The company responds to this interest by offering a commercial solution that does away with the obstacle of high initial costs.

“Southeast Asia Clean Energy Facility (SEACEF)’s investment in Stride will support the company’s growth at a critical stage of its development to set Stride on an accelerated pathway to scale its delivery of clean energy solutions,” said Joshua Kramer, Chief Investment Officer at Clime Capital.

He contends that Stride’s efforts to offer financing and quality assurance to residential and small business customers lower barriers to the adoption of rooftop solar and other clean energy solutions, allowing its clients to save money while lowering their carbon footprint.

The manager of SEACEF is Clime Capital, a fund administration business with its headquarters in Singapore.

The Clime Capital team is made up of senior professionals with extensive knowledge of the clean energy market in Southeast Asia.

In Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Singapore, it is physically present.
