Online visa application service StampThePassport raised Rs 4 Cr from angel investors
Online visa application service StampThePassport has raised Rs 4 crore from private individuals and angel investors as part of a pre-seed round. Along with this round, the Mumbai-based startup also declared its official launch.
The startup did not, however, give the names of the investors who took part in the round.
Vijay Kesavan founded StampThePassport, an online platform that enables travelers to apply for visas from the convenience of their homes.
The platform, which is available in English, Marathi, Hindi, and Gujarati, claims to make it simple to apply for the majority of visas in under 5 minutes. Pricing for online visa applications ranges from Rs 500 to Rs 1,200, and for the Visa Pro model, it is roughly Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,500.
StampThePassport is in direct competition with companies like Atlys, Visa2Fly, Ixigo, SpiceJet, and many other travel-related businesses.
Earlier this year, Elevation Capital and Peak XV Partners (previously Sequoia Capital India) led a $12 million Series A round of funding for the online visa application platform Atlys.
