DigitalPaani raised $1.2 M Seed funding led by Enzia Ventures, others
The seed round led by Enzia Ventures, Climate Angles Fund, Peer Cheque, SAE, DevC, and Bharat Founders Fund raised $1.2 million for the water management startup DigitalPaani.
This round has also featured participation from angels such as Ashish Goel (Urban Ladder), Alok Mittal (Indifi), Mohit Sadani (Moms Co), and Mohit Tandon (Delhivery).
According to a press release from DigitalPaani, the startup intends to use the additional funding to expand its technology to more wastewater treatment plants throughout India and investigate new markets.
DigitalPaani’s IOT-enabled platform, created by father-daughter team Mansi and Rajesh Jain, optimizes plant operations to treat more wastewater, decrease downtime, and enable water reuse. Significantly, the platform states that at its commercial sites, it has demonstrated up to 30% increases in treatment capacity and significant cost savings of 66%.
The platform of the startup tracks the performance of the infrastructure, finds problems, and offers advice on how to fix them. For water systems, it performs similar duties as a medical doctor, evaluating the situation and recommending treatments, equipment settings, process modifications, and operator guidelines.
Among DigitalPaani’s clientele are Britannia, Delhi Jal Board, Tata Power, and Leela Hotels. It intends to quicken growth in important cities over the course of the upcoming year, such as the National Capital Region, which includes Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Pune, and Hyderabad.
