Second Accelerate Africa startup support programme invites applications from early-stage founders

The second edition of Accelerate Africa, which assists startups in refining their strategies and positioning themselves for investment, is now accepting applications from early-stage founders who have creative answers to the biggest problems facing the continent.

Accelerate Africa is led by operator VCs Iyinoluwa Aboyeji and Mia von Koschitzky-Kimani, who have partnered with Future Africa and Prosper Africa to organize the event. They have built, funded, and advised hundreds of African founding teams, such as Andela, Flutterwave, Moove, and Daystar Power.

By accelerating their progress over eight weeks and culminating in a demo day where they can raise seed capital from some of the best investors focused on Africa, the program seeks to support “bold and visionary” founders who are building businesses to address some of the continent’s biggest challenges.

It seeks founders who have firsthand experience in solving the kinds of issues that can grow into multinational corporations.
