ShopDeck raised $8 M funding from Bessemer Venture

In a funding round headed by Bessemer Venture Partners, ShopDeck, a provider of direct-to-customer (D2C) e-commerce solutions, has raised $8 million. Chiratae Ventures, Venture Highway (purchased by General Catalyst), and Elevation Capital also took part in the round.

The money raised will be utilized to improve its Al-powered technology stack, hire more staff, and extend on-ground operations to help sellers in tier-II and tier-III cities.

ShopDeck, which was founded by Rishabh Verma and Harmin Shah, assists sellers in setting up their website or e-commerce store, handling payments and logistics, and other aspects of running an online business.

WMall began as a social commerce platform before changing its focus in 2022 to become NuShop, an e-commerce enablement platform, and then ShopDeck. Elevation Capital, Venture Highway, and Chiratae Ventures were the initial backers of WMall.

ShopDeck’s competitors in the shipping and marketing sectors are Shiprocket and Shipway, which is owned by Unicommerce, while ShopDeck will face competition from Shopify, Magento, and WooCommerce in the e-commerce enablement space.
