At $31 M post-money valuation, Singapore’s W Capital Markets raised Series B funding

A Series B round was raised by Singapore-based corporate finance company W Capital Markets at a post-money valuation of S$42 million ($31 million).

With the help of a number of prestigious investors, W Capital Markets concluded its Series B fundraising round in December 2024, the company announced in a statement on Thursday.

“With our expansion into new business segment in advising companies to list on the NASDAQ Capital Market and significant increase in merger and acquisition (M&A) activities and deal completions in 2025, coupled with our advisory business for SGX-listed companies, the successful completion of this Series B round will pave the way forward for W Capital Markets to continue to grow its investment banking business and soar to greater heights as one of the top corporate finance firms in Singapore,” said Wayne Lee, Founding Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of W Capital Markets.

The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) has granted W Capital Markets a capital markets services (CMS) license, making it a corporate finance company.

Additionally, it is a Catalist Continuing Sponsor approved by the Singapore Exchange (SGX-ST) and an accredited SGX Mainboard initial public offering (IPO) issue manager.

Established by seasoned M&A investment banker Wayne Lee in July 2018, the company has since closed over 50 significant capital market deals, with values ranging from S$50 million ($36.57 million) to S$3 billion ($2.19 billion).

Wayne Lee, Sin Boon Ann, Tan Wang Cheow, and Chen Aijun and Sui Xinpeng, representatives of the Chinese conglomerate Nanshan Group, are on the Board of Directors of W Capital Markets, which is led by a group of seasoned M&A and IPO investment bankers.

Additionally, Inderbethal Singh Thakral, the CEO and Executive Director of Thakral Corporation, which is listed on the SGX Mainboard, is a Board Observer of W Capital Markets.
