Kalaari Capital led a $2 million seed funding round for HireBound, an AI-powered recruitment platform. CareerNet, Infinyte Club, and Antler also participated in the round.
With the money, the Bengaluru-based startup intends to scale internationally, improve product development, and increase go-to-market activities. Over the next 12 to 18 months, it aims to increase ARR by a factor of 5.
HireBound, which was founded by Sharad Vij and Kumar Vikramaditya, is a recruitment platform that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to automate the entire hiring process. The sourcing, engagement, screening, evaluation, and candidate recommendation processes are managed by its agentic AI system.
According to the company, it has trained its system on over 2 million resumes and 30,000 job openings, and it has powered over 3 million candidate conversations. Staffing companies and enterprise talent teams use it, and it integrates with ATS and HRMS systems.
The startup, which currently employs 15 people, plans to grow into international markets over the course of the next 12 to 24 months while adjusting to local hiring and regulatory requirements.
