Thirty percent stake in GiantDot acquired by Shortgun Games

In order to combine game development and storytelling skills, Shortgun Games, a game development company, has purchased a 30% share in GiantDot, a creative studio.
Instead of treating creative functions like visual identity, narrative, and audience positioning as post-production layers, the partnership seeks to integrate them into the core development process.
Shortgun Games was established in 2022 and specializes in creating gaming intellectual property with a focus on design and narrative. GiantDot works in digital storytelling, motion graphics, production, and post-production.
Through this partnership, both businesses will collaborate from the very beginning of game development, allowing for the alignment of gameplay, story, and visual components.
Additionally, the businesses will employ AI-driven technologies to increase iteration speed and investigate various innovative avenues throughout development.
Shortgun Games’ focus on developing long-term gaming intellectual property and raising audience engagement is anticipated to be strengthened by this action.
Shortgun raised $1 million from angel investors in a seed funding round in August of last year.
