HelloTravel acquired by Ziptrrip to expand presence across business travel segments

Platform for managing corporate travel and expenses Online travel marketplace Ziptrrip has purchased Hi there, Travel Online.
Through the acquisition, Ziptrrip will be able to increase its market share in business leisure, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions), and experiential travel—segments that call for more robust supply networks and improved execution skills.
Shan Prabhakaran and Rishabh Agarwal co-founded Ziptrrip in 2019 to help corporates automate travel reservations, expedite approval processes, and apply intelligent algorithms for dynamic travel policies. Through its meta supply backend, the platform offers affordable fares by analyzing customer travel patterns and policy compliance.
By utilizing HelloTravel’s extensive network of travel agents, destination management companies (DMCs), and its sizable fan base, Ziptrrip hopes to enhance its capabilities through the acquisition. According to the company, more than 650 corporates have benefited from more than 2 lakh trips.
HelloTravel will function as a fully owned subsidiary of Wayfarers Technologies Private Limited as part of the deal. The current team will continue to oversee operations and uphold long-standing partner relationships even after the founders leave the company.
