Pre-seed funding secured by Africa-focused Yamify, “Heroku for AI in Africa”

Launch Africa Ventures has contributed money to Yamify’s pre-seed round. Yamify is a developer-first AI platform that enables web agencies and independent contractors to create AI stacks in less than a minute.

Yamify, the “Heroku for AI tools in Africa,” was founded by Luc Okalobé and allows online agencies and independent contractors to deploy GPU-powered AI solutions from local African data centers in less than a minute.

The introduction of Yamify, which had already gained early traction with fintechs and digital agencies in Lagos, Kinshasa, Brazzaville, Johannesburg, and San Francisco, was covered by the media towards the end of last year. Felix Anane, one of Paystack’s early backers, contributed US $100,000 to its start.

Launch Africa Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm, has already provided the first tranche of the startup’s pre-seed funding. With partners OADC and Cassava AI, the funds will be utilized to assist reduce the risk associated with early distribution.
