AI Game Studio Onibi raises funding from SeaX Ventures, Pix Capital

Thailand-based SeaX Ventures and France-based Pix Capital led a strategic fundraising round for Onibi, an independent gaming studio working on the AI-powered open-world multiplayer role-playing game Tomo: Endless Blue.
SeaX Ventures stated in a statement on Wednesday that the money raised would support an impending Kickstarter Alpha launch and hasten development toward a full commercial launch.
Benjamin Devienne founded Onibi, a game that combines physics-based voxel systems, scalable multiplayer infrastructure, and creative tools with proprietary AI models to create distinctive villages, cultures, NPCs, conversation, missions, and tales for every player. The long-term goal is to create a platform for user-generated content where players may utilize AI-assisted tools to create their own role-playing games, transforming ideas into playable content with straightforward hints.
According to Devienne, the support from Pix Capital and SeaX Ventures will help advance the technology, expand the Kickstarter community, and quicken the studio’s Asian strategy.
AI-native game development is one of the most important frontiers in the larger deep-tech tsunami, according to Kid Parchariyanon, Founder and Managing Partner of SeaX Ventures.
Veterans from Fortnite, League of Legends, Baldur’s Gate 3, Fall Guys, Grand Theft Auto, and World of Warcraft make up Onibi’s staff. The firm is working with French studio Mujina to produce Tomo: Endless Blue, and its team members are spread between San Francisco, London, and Bordeaux.
