African logistics & e-commerce Logidoo secured $1.55 M Seed funding

With the acquisition of $1,550,000, rising star Logidoo in the African logistics and e-commerce space is pleased to announce a major increase in seed funding. Founders Factory Africa (Nigeria), 216 Capital (Tunisia), Gullit VC (Ethiopia), Maroc Numeric Fund II (Morocco), Sunny Side Venture Partners (Egypt/Japan), and Kalys Ventures (Morocco) are among the venture capitalists leading this investment, which highlights Logidoo’s distinctive position in changing the logistics landscape throughout Africa.

This funding round is significant for Logidoo because it shows the market’s faith in the company’s creative solution to one of Africa’s most pressing problems: the continent’s comparatively low intra-trade when compared to Asia and the EU. Logidoo is a forward-thinking company that is bringing the African Continental Free Trade Area (AFCFTA) vision to life by specializing in “cross-border” logistics.

Logidoo has established itself as a “cross-border end-to-end 5PL” provider, a term that encapsulates its groundbreaking approach and sets it apart in the logistics sector. This tagline reflects our commitment to offering comprehensive, cross-border logistics solutions unrivalled in the market.”

Logidoo’s adoption rate and operational effectiveness have been remarkably high. The business currently operates in eight countries throughout the continent, has gathered more than 3,000 logistics suppliers, completed more than 100,000 operations, and served more than 400 clients. Logidoo stands out from other cash-burning logistics startups thanks to its achievement of EBITDA-positive status since January 2023, which further demonstrates its sound financial standing and business acumen.

With the goal of expanding its franchise network to five African nations, Logidoo started an ambitious expansion plan in 2023. With the latest funding, this strategy seeks to establish Logidoo’s presence throughout the continent. Bringing in seasoned leaders to fill important roles like CFO and COO will strengthen executive leadership and contribute to this momentum.

Both Mohamed Alaoui, a 3PL and courier specialist with over 20 years of experience in Morocco and the sub-region, and our founder, Tamsir Ousmane Traoré, with his extensive background in logistics—which includes teaching logistics and holding the position of Chairman of the logistics commission within the Senegal Private Sector Association—embodies the ideal founder-market fit, further bolstering confidence in our direction and strategy.
