SaaS startup Scalekit raises $5.5 M Seed funding from Together Fund and Z47

With the help of angel investors Adam Frankl, Oliver Jay, and Jagadeesh Kunda, SaaS startup Scalekit has raised $5.5 million in a seed round led by Together Fund and Z47.

Scalekit is a modular, drop-in infrastructure for SaaS and AI-first teams that was founded by Satya Devarakonda and a group of former Freshworks engineers. Products include modern human authentication with enterprise features like SSO and SCIM, Agent Actions for secure API calls with consent and revocation, and MCP Auth for agentic servers. Scalekit’s à-la-carte methodology allows developers to adopt only the features they require, in contrast to monolithic solutions like Auth0.

The founding team witnessed firsthand how difficult it was for SaaS teams to provide secure, enterprise-ready authentication when they created Freshworks’ in-house auth platform, which is currently utilized by over 50,000 companies and 2 million users.

For AI-native applications, the company is developing the authentication and actions layer.

Traditional identity systems created for humans are being broken by applications that expose functionality directly to agents through protocols like the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Now, Scalekit is constructing the agentic era’s authentication framework.

Startups like Hubbl, Sifthub, Fello, Unstract, Tiphaus, and Aerchain have already adopted Scalekit, which facilitates the transition of agentic workflows from prototypes to production.
