Cap Alpha Ventures led Rs 25 Cr Series A funding raised by House of Chikankari

In a Series A funding round headed by Cap Alpha Ventures, formerly known as Client Associates Alternate Fund (CAAF), women-led contemporary ethnic wear brand House of Chikankari has raised Rs 25 crore.

LetsVenture and other investors had previously given the Delhi-based startup $639K. In 2023, Shark Tank India Season 2 also included it.

The proceeds, according to the company, will be used to increase working capital efficiency, invest in team growth and marketing, broaden its product line, and bolster its omnichannel presence with a push into offline retail.

Aakriti and Poonam Rawal co-founded House of Chikankari in 2020 with the goal of reimagining the art of chikankari for the contemporary consumer, making it appropriate for daily wear.

The brand creates a scalable ethnic wear business by fusing modern design with traditional embroidery techniques.

With an emphasis on maintaining the legacy of hand-embroidered chikankari, the company supports a network of more than 10,000 artisans. Kurtas, kurta sets, sarees, kaftans, tops, shirts, and bottom wear are among its product offerings. Through its official website, the startup uses a direct-to-consumer (D2C) business model and has amassed a customer base of more than two lakh.

With an annual revenue run rate (ARR) of Rs 50 crore, House of Chikankari claims to have grown by more than 50% in FY26. To date, it has shipped orders to more than 20 countries, including the United States, Australia, and the United Kingdom, and served over 2 lakh customers.

Over the next 24 months, the company wants to grow by several times. With over 9 lakh monthly user sessions across its website and app, proprietary channels account for the majority of its revenue.
