Drive System Design acquired by Hinduja Tech to extend eMobility services
According to the firm, Drive System Design was purchased by Hinduja Tech, a division of the global corporate conglomerate Hinduja Group, for an “undisclosed price” in order to extend its eMobility services from development to manufacturing.
Drive System Design is an internationally renowned technical consultancy company that specializes in creating creative solutions for electric propulsion systems.
The automotive, commercial vehicle, off-road, and aviation industries in the United Kingdom, the United States, and Asia now get sophisticated engineering services from Drive System Design.
The purchase of Drive System Design marks a significant turning point in Hinduja Tech’s development in the eMobility sector, according to CEO Kumar Prabhas.
“Both of these markets (the United Kingdom and the United States) have high-end engineering talent and are leading the charge in the transition to electric mobility. As this demand increases, the combination of HT and DSD strengths will enable offering the best-in-class eMobility solutions for global markets,” he said.
After acquiring Drive System Design, Hinduja Tech added state-of-the-art design and testing laboratories as well as cutting-edge engineering skills in the UK and the US.
“We believe that Hinduja Tech is the right partner at the right time and see this as a tremendous opportunity for the long-term future and expanded capabilities of Drive System Design,” its CEO Mark Findlay said.
Drive System Design would be able to expand its reach as a member of the Hinduja Tech family due to Hinduja Tech’s extensive vehicle development and integration experience and worldwide business strategy, he said.
