Edtech iStoria concludes its Seed round at $1.3 M

The specialized English language teaching app iStoria is happy to announce that its Seed investment round has concluded successfully, raising a total of 5 million Saudi riyals in funding. Several well-known angel investors, Nama Ventures, Classera, Flat6Labs, and BIM Ventures were among the notable investors who helped us reach this milestone.

Over a million learners use iStoria globally, and it has a high degree of user satisfaction as evidenced by its stellar 4.6-star App Store rating. The app’s entry into the education market, where it has partnered with multiple private and public schools, is what has caused its popularity to soar. Through these partnerships, schools are now able to integrate iStoria into their curricula, providing students with direct supervision and aiding in their English language development.

A Saudi-based project in collaboration with Oxford, iStoria is notable for its distinct method of teaching English. It places a strong emphasis on expanding vocabulary through graded reader stories that are appropriate for students of all skill levels. The stories are accompanied by comprehension questions and demanding vocabulary tests. This approach was carefully thought out to guarantee that students would be able to pass the foreign language exams. The application also provides cutting-edge features that improve the user experience overall.

With the new funding, iStoria plans to improve its English language learning platform even more, spurring innovation and reaching a global student base. With even more benefits for its users, this latest investment solidifies iStoria’s position as a leader in the English language education space.

iStoria, a technical product development company founded in March 2022 by Eng. Abdullah Al-Jaberi is the result of a partnership with partners who have over ten years of combined experience. To make iStoria a reality, more than 20 highly qualified and driven workers collaborated with Dr. Faisal Al-Hamoud, an expert in academic education and program content management in the English language; Eng. Abdel Nasser Al-Wali, an operations management specialist; Eng. Ismail Ashour, a technical management expert; and Mr. Khaled Al-Rashed, the marketing manager.

Eng. Abdullah Al-Jabri, the founder and CEO of iStoria, expressed his satisfaction with the conclusion of this investment round, stating, “Through this funding, we will continue our mission to empower individuals to communicate effectively and boost their confidence in using the English language. We are optimistic and eagerly anticipate the next phase of our journey. Our growth and impact will primarily come from serving organizations and expanding our global presence”.
