Pet care startup BhaoBhao secured $200K from angel investors

Angel investors have contributed $200,000 to the pet care startup BhaoBhao’s funding round.

According to a press release from BhaoBhao, the new funding will be used to expand into new regions.

BhaoBhao was co-founded by Aditi Sanganeria and Anshika Maheshwari with the goal of offering a reliable and practical service. Trained professionals use sanitized equipment to provide expert grooming in the pet owner’s home.

The pet care industry in India is estimated to be worth $3.5 billion and is expected to grow significantly over the next several years, according to market research.

The startup, which is based in Mumbai, provides convenient in-home pet grooming services for both dogs and cats. It employs qualified and experienced pet groomers, including dedicated cat groomers, and does the grooming right at the pet owner’s house. The startup makes sure that pets stay content and at ease during the entire grooming process and concentrates on leaving the house tidy and mess-free after the session.

The startup claims that in order to spur growth and reach more clients with its high-end pet grooming services, it is in negotiations to raise a larger funding round of $4–5 million by the end of the year.

With prices ranging from Rs 1,500 to Rs 2,000 per visit, BhaoBhao currently provides at-home dog and cat grooming services to over 3,000 clients in Mumbai, with a 95% repeat rate.
