First Cheque led $375K Pre-seed funding raised by ofScale

OfScale, a platform that offers distribution as a service, has raised $375K in a pre-seed funding round led by First Cheque. Additional investors Matrix Partners India, DeVC, Relentless VC, Abhishek Goyal, Mekin Maheshwari, and Revant Bhate also participated.

According to a press release from ofScale, the money will be used to expand GTM initiatives and intensify product development.

Scale, which was co-founded in 2022 by Suvigna Shour, Tarun Kedia, and Vijay Akkaladevi, uses a technology-driven business-to-business model to reduce distribution costs when compared to more conventional offline growth strategies. Currently, the company is helping personal care and beauty brands find a more affordable offline presence before expanding into other markets.

OfScale claims that its marketplace makes it easier for brands to enter offline markets by letting them rent retail shelves in independent businesses. OfScale democratizes distribution through the use of technology, lowering obstacles to smooth, widespread adoption.

Leading direct-to-consumer (D2C) beauty and personal care brands, including Bodywise, Deconstruct, Arata, Paradyes, Wishcare, and Hair Originals, are reportedly carried by the Bengaluru-based company. Additionally, it states that more than 15 rapidly expanding brands in the beauty and personal care industries have introduced offline retail through ofScale in the past 12 months.
