GetVantage backed $250K Growth funding raised by D2C food brand WickedGud
Direct-to-consumer (D2C) food product brand WickedGud has received an additional $250,000 in growth funding from GetVantage. Previously, Titan Capital, Mumbai Angels, NB Ventures, Dholakia Ventures, Venture Catalyst, and co-founder of boAt Aman Gupta supported WickedGud.
Shilpa Shetty, an actress, led a recent Rs 2.25 crore fundraising effort for WickedGud.
According to a press release from WickedGud, the money will be used for marketing, product development, and retail distribution in order to increase net revenue by 5X in FY24.
Bhuman Dani, Monish Debnath, and Soumalya Biswas co-founded WickedGud in 2021 as a direct-to-consumer startup with the goal of decluttering Indian kitchens one indulgent food item at a time. Its products are produced using cutting-edge steaming and convection air drying (SCAD) technology and are made with healthy ingredients.
The Mumbai-based startup claims that over the next 18 months, it will introduce three new product categories. It asserts that growth over the previous year was over 300%. Through its network of distribution partners, the company also intends to dramatically expand its retail footprint to more than 2,000 retail stores PAN-India.
