Ice cream brand Go Zero raised $1.5 M Pre-series A funding

Go Zero, an ice cream company, has raised $1.5 million in its follow-on pre-Series A funding round from investors including Saama, V3 Ventures, and DSG Consumer Partners. Notable angel investors like Arjun Purkayastha also participated in the round.

In August of last year, DSG Consumer Partners, Saama, and V3 Ventures led the startup’s $1 million pre-Series A funding round.

Go Zero, a diversified product line that includes vegan, high-protein, and low-calorie ice creams, was founded by Kiran Shah. According to the startup, all of its products are sweetened with low-calorie plant-based sweeteners.

After less than two years of launch, the Go Zero ice cream brand is now available on both quick commerce and e-commerce platforms, with over 125 dark stores and 16 cities currently carrying the brand.

Go Zero reports that its growth in FY24 was 4X greater than that of FY23, and this summer it saw 7X growth on quick commerce in just 5 months.

Go Zero faces off against NIC and Hocco. Hocco recently raised $12 million from the Chona family and others, while NIC raised $11 million in a growth funding round headed by Jungle Ventures last year.
