Nigerian startup Tespire obtained funding to further health-focused research project

To expand its research project Asibiti, which attempts to tackle one of the most intricate issues in the Nigerian healthcare system, Tespire, a Nigerian startup, has obtained a round of funding from Alternative Bank.
Established in 2022 by Abdulkadir Suleiman Lapai and Umar Madugu in Northern Nigeria, Tespire started out by constructing infrastructure that gives school owners access to digital tools like tablets and the internet to streamline administrative procedures.
Last year, the company signed a global Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Alternative Bank and ventured into the healthcare industry after raising an undisclosed amount of pre-seed funding.
The bank has now agreed to provide funding for its innovative health research project, Asibiti. Early tests with Niger State public hospitals demonstrated a sincere desire for change, so Tespire created the Asibiti box, which has an integrated internet connection and management systems.
In addition to using the funds to support daily operations, Tespire intends to extend the project to private hospitals and introduce a feature that makes this possible.
