OTP Ventures led Rs 35 Cr Pre-Series A funding raised by DeHaat Honest Farms

In a pre-Series A fundraising round headed by OTP Ventures, with participation from Sadev Capital and Maiuni Ventures, DeHaat Honest Farms, the pesticide-free consumer food brand founded by DeHaat, has raised Rs 35 crore. Adarsh J. Srivastava, a co-founder of DeHaat, has also been named CEO by the company to oversee its next stage of expansion.

According to a news statement from DeHaat Honest Farms, the profits will be utilized to expand its portfolio thru targeted new product development (NPD), accelerate geographic expansion, and raise category-level awareness of pesticide-free food.

Delivering pesticide-free food straight from farmers with an emphasis on quality and transparency, DeHaat Honest Farms seeks to close the gap between India’s farms and consumer homes.

Honest Farms claims that it sources directly from DeHaat’s network of more than 13 million farmers, allowing for consistent quality and traceability. A pesticide-free certificate and more than 230 quality checks are performed on each pack, guaranteeing food that is pure, genuine, and devoid of dangerous chemicals.

Over 100 goods, including superfoods, everyday necessities, and basics, are available from DeHaat Honest Farms. Its items can be found in more than 3,000 retail locations in more than 120 cities, as well as on top e-commerce, quick-commerce, and contemporary trade platforms.

The company intends to increase its ARR to Rs 200 crore over the next 12 to 18 months by growing its retail presence to over 10,000 locations and providing clean food to millions of households nationwide.

As consumers become more aware of food safety, traceability, chemical residues, and healthier everyday staples, the pesticide-free and clean-label consumer food market in India is expanding.

Another company in the market is Safe Harvest, which sells grains, pulses, spices, and basics free of pesticides. In 2026, Wingreens purchased it in a share-swap agreement. Additionally, Farmizen is developing farm-to-consumer and chemical-free food production models.
