Singapore’s Infinium Robotics acquired by Germany’s DDB AG for $22 M

Infinium Robotics, a Singapore-based logistics technology business with deployments throughout Malaysian warehouse and logistics operations, was purchased by German-listed Deutsche Defence Beteiligungen AG (DDB AG) for MYR95.6 million ($22 million).
Infinium Robotics, a Singaporean and Malaysian company, said in a statement on Monday that DDB AG has acquired 100% of Infinium’s 2.4 million shares from its current shareholders through the issuing of up to 20.5 million new DDB AG shares at a price of $1.07 each.
Infinium Robotics develops AI-enabled autonomous drone systems that streamline warehouse inventory operations by automating stock checks, providing continuous inventory visibility, capturing highly accurate data, and delivering real-time operational insights. In Malaysia, its technology has been implemented at warehouse facilities in Shah Alam, Subang Jaya, and Penang, supporting telecommunications and logistics companies, as well as businesses in the logistics, FMCG, manufacturing, and electronics sectors.
The company’s solutions are also deployed by multinational enterprises worldwide across industries such as logistics, manufacturing, and oil and gas. Customers have reported reducing inventory stocktaking costs by more than 80 percent while benefiting from greater operational efficiency and improved inventory accuracy.
Infinium Robotics’ CEO, Jon Woon, stated that the deal is an important step in the company’s international expansion, allowing it to scale more effectively into new countries through integration with DDB’s German-listed platform. The CEO stated that Infinium intends to extend its footprint in Malaysia as part of its Asia-Pacific expansion strategy.
