Contest for Startups by SICCI

Chennai, Aug 12 (ICNews) The Southern India Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SICCI), one of the oldest chamber of commerce in India, on Monday announced a contest for Startups. 

Themed, “Creating a Sustainable Environment”, the contest is open to startups from South India in five sectors including Agriculture, Technology, Energy, Healthcare, Water and Waste Management.

SICCI President R Ganapathi, in a release here said the contest for startups has been constituted to reward and recognize thestartups that have created a mark in the industry. 

He said ”at a time when the country is going through a period of ecological distress, it is vital for us to create an environment for startups to pioneer more sustainable solutions.”

”We have created a platform for startups that brings together leaders from various industry and industry bodies, to provide opportunities for entrepreneurs to benefit from the knowledge, 
experience and expert guidance from industry leaders”, he said. 

Any South Indian Startup, having completed three to five years with a sustainable revenue stream will be eligible to enter the contest.
