Med-tech tourism startup CureMeAbroad raised $600K Pre-seed funding

Roman Saini, Himanshu Ratnoo, Kunal Gupta, Devaiah Bopanna, and Vikrant Potnis have contributed $600K to a pre-seed funding round for the medical tourism discovery platform CureMeAbroad.

According to a press release from the company, the additional funds will be utilized for technological investments, such as growing its AI cost estimator, clinical matching models, and multilingual patient intelligence layer that drives the discovery engine.

The global medical tourism market is expected to grow to $174 billion by 2035, according to a market report.

CureMeAbroad is an AI-first discovery platform that links foreign patients with appropriate hospitals, surgeons, and destinations. It was co-founded in June 2025 by Aditya Oza and Mikhail Bohra. It operates under HIPAA certification and makes use of a proprietary AI cost estimator trained on more than 634 procedure records.

In addition to working with more than 380 accredited partner hospitals in major medical tourism hubs like Mexico, Turkey, Thailand, India, and Georgia, the platform currently has a directory of more than 6,000 hospitals spread across 47 countries and 45 specialties.

The GCC, the UK, and Africa are the first target source markets where the company intends to accelerate growth. It seeks to address issues facing the industry, including low aftercare accountability, unreliable clinic listings, opaque pricing, dependence on WhatsApp agents, and a lack of trust.

Platforms like Bookimed, PlacidWay, The Medical Tourism Company, and Medical Departures are competitors of CureMeAbroad.
