CIMware raises $2.3 M Pre-series A funding from Transition VC

Deep tech startup CIMware, based in Bengaluru, has raised $2.3 million in pre-Series A funding from Transition VC, a venture capital fund that focuses on energy transition.
The money raised will be utilized to increase hardware manufacturing and strengthen research and development.
With its flagship Composable Infrastructure Module (CIM), a smart top-of-rack switch that integrates networking, storage, and computation into a single unit, CIMware, founded by Rajiv Ganth, the former CEO of CloudSimple India (acquired by Google), is creating a new category in data center hardware.
According to CIMware, its technology can reduce the amount of space needed for data center infrastructure, lower total cost of ownership, and cut power consumption by up to 80%.
The first 20 CIM units that the startup plans to deploy in Indian data centers by the end of 2025 have already started production.
In addition, CIMware is looking into joint ventures in South Korea, the US, and the UK. It also intends to pursue direct sales in India and the US, as well as white-label agreements in Southeast Asia.
